"Refuge. Resources. Relief."
The mission of The Road Home is to help people step out of homelessness and back into our community.
The Road Home is a private non-profit social services agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front. The Road Home provides multiple services to help people overcome homelessness.
Emergency Shelter – The Road Home provides emergency shelter for single men, and families experiencing homelessness.
Emergency Services – Our Client Engagement Team offers assistance to low-income and homeless individuals on a walk-in basis with obtaining documents, training, and supplies needed to transition back into the workforce, remain employed, qualify for housing, and more.
Case Management – The Road Home’s Case Management team works tirelessly to help each individual who turns to us for assistance in identifying and overcoming the barriers causing them to become homeless.
Housing – The Road Home believes that housing is the solution to ending homelessness. We provide an array of housing programs including Rapid Rehousing for families and veterans, and Permanent Supportive Housing.

The holidays should be a wonderful time of year for all. Unfortunately, some fall on hard times and are unable to provide for themselves or their family. True North Endurance and Events focuses on giving back all year long and the holidays are no exception.
So what is Ruckmas? Rucking is walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). Think of it as our version of wearing a ruck/pack on your back, filling it full of goodies and delivering them to others in need! There is no minimum weight required in your ruck/pack. We will be partnering with The Road Home to donate items in need. Between November 1, 2019 through the day of the event on December 7, 2019 we ask that you gather items from the list below to be donated.
We will meet at 9:00 AM at Bingham Junction Park (6980 River Reserve Court, Midvale, UT) and gather all of the items collected and "ruck" them to be donated at The Road Home in Midvale (529 W 9th Ave, Midvale, UT 84047). Wagons are welcome to help carry donations!
There will be hot cocoa, donuts and all the holiday carols you can think of so start warming up your caroling voice! Depending on the route taken, there may be a few stops along the way to pick up additional donations from local businesses wanting to participate. This is a family friendly event so we will keep the rucking/walking distance to a minimum (little over 2 miles round trip).
